New and Returning Tutors
New Tutors
Welcome to our volunteer tutoring program. You are ready to start tutoring because you have completed all of the following steps:
Submitted a complete volunteer application
Passed a fingerprint scan background check
Attended or viewed an Introduction to volunteering training session
Attended or viewed other subject matter training as provided by the school
Signed a volunteer tutor agreement
Signed any additional release forms required by the school. If you have not completed all the necessary paperwork, you can just click on the form you are missing to get that information.
Our site coordinator should be contacting you to set up a tutoring schedule. If not, please contact Mr. Anthony Redmond at [email protected] or (901)649-9776.
You will have a regular student to tutor and an alternate student should your regular student not be available. It is important that you commit to tutoring at least one hour a week for the academic year for this program to be successful.

Returning Tutors
Welcome back veteran tutors. You should have passed a fingerprint scan background check before you started tutoring last year.
To tutor this year, please complete the Returning Tutor Form and submit it to the school site coordinator.
The coordinator will contact you for any additional information needed to complete a follow-up criminal records check, background check, and work out your tutoring schedule.
For New and Returning Tutors
The "Resources Tab" has a wide variety of website, tutor materials, and advanced training presentations that will help you work effectively with your student. There will also be tutoring manuals, games, books and other materials available at the school for you to use in your tutoring sessions.
We encourage you to check the school website to see if there are any school holidays or last minute schedule changes that might effect your tutoring schedule. You should also contact the school site coordinator as soon as possible if you cannot make your scheduled tutoring appointment. Your students will be looking forward to seeing you and this helps minimize disappointment and time wasted waiting for you to arrive.
